According to their website, the outgoing president is Jasleen Dayal.

On Monday evening the board met after allegations of an undisclosed nature had been made.

“The board did not make this decision lightly and arrived at it only after concluding a thorough investigation,” the board said in a statement posted on Facebook.

“This investigation revealed that the former president had engaged in actions that were directly contrary to the UWSWA’s policies and values.”

The board goes on to say it believes in upholding values such as honesty, compassion, integrity and service to the student body they represent.

“A part of upholding such values requires the due diligence of the board of directors, a characteristic which we can assure was factored into our decision,” the statement says.

“The UWSA has and will be taking steps to ensure these values are continually reflected in our work environment.

“Our goal is to provide a safe and positive work environment for all UWSA volunteers and staff as we continue to serve, represent and advocate for the undergraduate students at the University of Windsor.”
