These are the macro kiosks that the CDMX opened to detect new cases of Covid

The government of Mexico City, through the capital’s Ministry of Health, enabled a series of new coronavirus infection detection centers this Monday, in addition to other facilities that had already been performing Covid tests for weeks.

The determination of the capital government to have new detection kiosks stems from a high demand from the population for tests to confirm or rule out new cases of coronavirus infections in the city.

Claudia Sheinbaum, head of the capital’s government, had confirmed the previous week that the local government would have new detection centers. Claudia Sheinbaum He also confirmed that the level of hospitalizations due to coronavirus infections had risen in the capital, although the new percentage was not confirmed.

This Monday, the central government reported that the tests carried out in these centers will also be free.

These are 10 of the 11 kiosks that are already enabled as of this Monday, January 10, to detect cases of Covid-19 in Mexico City:

  • Venustiano Carranza City Hall Esplanade.
  • Esplanade of the Xochimilco mayor’s office.
  • Graphic Arts Park, in the Cuauhtémoc mayor’s office, on José María Vértiz street, Doctores neighborhood.
  • Juana de Asbaje Park, in the Tlalpan mayor’s office, located on Moneda 1 street, in Tlalpan Centro.

The government of Mexico City has also had these locations to test for Covid-19:

  • Vía Vallejo Park, located at Calzada Vallejo 1090, Santa Cruz de las Salinas, in the Azcapotzalco mayor’s office.
  • Plaza Zentralia, located at Avenida Río Churubusco 1072, Los Picos VI B, in the mayor’s office of Iztapalapa.

The capital government has reported that to date 117 modules operate in health centers to take antigen samples and detect Covid cases.
