The sectors most and least prepared in the skills for the jobs of the future

In the pandemic, people who work in technology had the greatest stagnation and setback in skills already demanded by the jobs of the future. Those working in the insurance, health and consumer goods sectors also lagged behind. In contrast, in the manufacturing, financial services and automotive industries they advanced the most, according to a report by Coursera.

The health personnel that believes that digital transformation is at least important grew from 61 to 86% in five years, the report notes. For that reason “industry leaders must change the curriculum to prioritize digital skills.”
