The Undersecretary of Prevention and Health Promotion, Hugo Lopez-Gatell, indicated this Tuesday that only 0.15% of the schools that have reopened nationwide have been affected by Covid-19 contagions.

López-Gatell indicated that no spikes in infections have been identified in the school community. He stressed that there is a sustained reduction, as it is for the entire population at the national level.
Almost all the cases that have been detected in minors, he said, have been mild, “no one has had a major disease,” he said.
He indicated that the percentage of representation of Covid-19 cases in the child and youth population is 10 percent.
For its part, the Secretary of Public Education, Delfina Gomez Alvarez, indicated that at the national level 169,864 schools have reopened, with which 18 million 290,948 students and one million 508,224 education workers have returned to the classrooms.
National pandemic
Undersecretary Hugo López-Gatell highlighted that at the national level we have had three consecutive months of reduction in pandemic indicators. He said that only 0.7% of cases are active.

He said that up to now 117 million 240,849 doses have been applied, which represents the vaccination of 70 million 996,565 people who have been vaccinated; 54 million 683,434 people with a complete scheme and 16 million, 313,131 with a dose.
