In Mexico, the perception that the gap against advanced corruption is in place in 2021, is that the country is in the position of 124 out of 180 countries that were evaluated by Transparency International (TI) in flagella combat matter, which occupied in 2020.
In the 2021 edition of the Index of Perception of International Transparency, Mexico has a rating of 31 points (on a scale of 100 to 100, where 100 is the best possible ranking, which equals one chance of corruption).
Our country follows the peer review of the 38 nations that integrate with the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). Thus, in the G20, Mexico occupies position 18, by Russia only being placed in position 19, which means that Mexico has not yet recovered its best historical evaluation, which was presented in 2015 (place 95).
In the 2021 edition, our Nation shares the same classification (31 points) as Gabon, Niger and Papua New Guinea.
It is worth mentioning that the index is constructed based on the opinions of specialists, financial risk analysts, women and men from academia and the negotiations, consulted on the situation that guards corruption in any of the 180 nations evaluated.
In the case of the most rated countries in the IPC 2021 are Denmark, Finland and New Zealand (with 88 points out of 100 possible), followed by Norway, Singapore and Sweden (with 85 points).
Syria and Somalia were evaluated with 13 points, while Sudan del Sur scored 11 points.
Without sanctions
According to the study of TI, the gap against corruption is the main one of the federal administration 2018-2024 which in this agenda has a social support to advance, without embarrassment, the cases of corruption defined as emblematic — Master Stafa, Odebrecht, Agro Nitrogenados, expresidentes, entre otros—, no han sido aún sancionados en materia penal.

“One of the most debilitating slaves in Mexico’s anti-corruption policy, and not only in the federal government, is the recovery of assets. It is time to complete the governmental promise of ‘developing the people’s power, ”he said.
He added that “the governor of Mexico has to approve the social support in this matter in order to address the reasons for corruption that live, operate, and in many cases lead to criminal cases”.
Cabe reports that during the 2020 drug, TI said that Mexico had increased its number of cities in the 2019 ranking, it was not possible to occupy 130 to 124 of the 180 countries evaluated.
While its global rating scores are related to a previous year, its rating in the 2020 Corruption Perceptions Index counts 31 points (of which 0 series has the highest rating and 100 is the highest possible rating); for 2019, this figure is calculated at 29 points.
