Moncton’s Main Street Reopens After Police Operation – New Brunswick | The Canadian News

The New Brunswick RCMP closed part of Main Street between Botsford Street and Assomption Boulevard on Saturday afternoon due to a police operation, but has since reopened.

In a tweet at 1:14 p.m., police say the Codiac Regional RCMP had established a perimeter and the public was being asked to stay away.

The police did not say what was happening, but as of 2 p.m., a webcam online showed a huge protest going on in that area.

At 3pm, the webcam once again showed cars moving down the street.
