Person Extracted From Vehicle After Saskatoon Bridge Accident

SASKATOON –

One person had to be pulled from a vehicle on Broadway Bridge due to a collision late Friday night.

The Saskatoon Fire Department (SFD) arrived at the scene after 2 a.m. and established a safe work area where they used a fire truck to prevent further accidents, according to a press release.

The teams stabilized the vehicle and covered the person with a tevlar blanket to protect them during extraction when removing the car door.

Later, the person was taken by ambulance to the hospital.

SFD removed hazardous fluids and road debris from vehicles. No one else had to be removed due to the accident, according to the statement.

Later, the scene was turned over to the police.
