Toronto police say one person died after a shooting occurred in the Lawrence Heights area of the city on Friday night.
Police say they received reports of a man who was shot in the area of the Replin and Flemington highways shortly after 9 p.m. Friday.
They say officers located a victim at the scene with serious injuries.
Later, the victim was rushed to the hospital.
Police say the victim succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The homicide unit of the Toronto Police Service is investigating.
