However, the device will continue to function normally but without access to battery health features, just like Apple’s iPhone 12 series.
Now for more information on iFixit’s The iPhone 13 Pro teardown reveals that changing the phone’s screen will render Face ID useless.
“We tried to transfer the sensors from the old screen and transfer them through the Face ID hardware, but without dice.” read iFixit’s demolish. It appears that the screen is serially locked for the specific device, and changing it disables Face ID.
However, this happens with third-party repairs and replacing your iPhone 13 screen from Apple’s service center will not result in a Face ID malfunction.
