Winnipeg Police Arrest Suspect in September Fatal Shooting – Winnipeg | The Canadian News

Winnipeg police made an arrest in connection with a fatal shooting in September outside a Salter Street convenience store.

Police said they tracked down the suspect, Dawson Kenliegh McKay, 21, just before midnight on St. Stephen’s Day at an Alpine Place apartment complex.

Winnipeg man wanted for second-degree murder, police say

McKay, who is now in custody and facing a second-degree murder charge, was wanted on an arrest warrant across Canada in connection with the death of 24-year-old Joshua Jordan Paul Pashe.

Police said they believe McKay and Pashe were involved in a verbal argument prior to the shooting and that they did not know each other previously.
