Windsor Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect after an Erie Street restaurant was robbed last week.

Around 8:45 p.m. Wednesday, officers responded to a reported robbery in the 100 block of Erie Street East.

A suspect had entered the restaurant and demanded cash, police said. The man announced that he had a weapon, but no one saw a weapon during the incident.

The man’s demand for money was rejected and he fled on foot without taking anything. It was last seen heading north on Windsor Avenue.

No physical injuries were reported.

The man is described as black and approximately 40 years old. He was wearing a black jacket with a fur hood and black clothing.

Police are asking anyone in the area of ​​the incident with surveillance cameras to review their footage for possible evidence. Areas involved include the 100 block of Erie Street East and Windsor Avenue to the north.
