Windsor police are investigating after a report of a body located outside a downtown residential highrise building Tuesday morning.

Officers responded shortly after 6:30 am to an apartment building in the 250 block of Riverside Drive and remained in the area for much of the morning.
Several police vehicles parked on the streets surrounding the building about a block from Windsor police headquarters while investigators worked within a police tape perimeter at the front of the highrise. Their presence attracted attention on the busy sidewalk along Riverside Drive from bystanders and building residents.
A Windsor police spokesperson said later Tuesday the investigation was ongoing and further details were not available.
