It takes a handyman to join the volunteer team to help those in need. Throughout the year, we have many requests for help with small or larger jobs such as air conditioning installation, hole repair, small painting projects, and more. A few hours a week make a difference.

A Pointe-Claire man in his 80s would benefit from the company of a volunteer. He is a sociable and calm man who lives in a residence. He also has memory problems, so he would like to have someone who can chat and take short walks with him. He is spiritual and enjoys talking about faith.

A Dollard-des-Ormeaux woman in her 80s is looking for a volunteer who can accompany her to the local grocery store every two weeks. I would also appreciate if the volunteer could help her put the items away. She is very smart but has problems with her mobility and is experiencing vision loss.

A 68-year-old Ste-Geneviève would love to spend some time with an outgoing volunteer. She lives in a residence and would appreciate having visitors, strolling by the water, and shopping. He enjoys watching cooking shows, reading mystery novels, and solving puzzles. He is very friendly and, despite his shy demeanor, he is sociable and always smiling.

A Pointe-Claire woman in her 80s recently moved to West-Island after living in St-Jerome for several years with her spouse and is isolated. I would appreciate the company of a volunteer to chat and go out to eat when things are safe. Some of her hobbies include reading, painting, and coloring.

A 94-year-old French-speaking woman from Pierrefonds would benefit from friendly visits. He has dementia, uses a wheelchair, and has trouble communicating. He smiles a lot and loves animals. Can do puzzles and play with some help. The volunteer can accompany her on short walks around the residence, as she would benefit from it.

A 76-year-old woman from Dollard would benefit from friendly visits. She is originally from England, but lived in Canada for most of her life. She likes to read, play with jewelry, and sit outside for fresh air. She uses a cane and is a very tough woman. You would like to have conversations with a volunteer once a week or once every 2 weeks.

An 85-year-old Tamil-speaking woman from Dollard would love to have friendly visits. He used to cook a lot in the past and he likes food. She likes to read and is very family oriented and interested in chatting with a volunteer.

A 61-year-old bilingual woman with a mental health diagnosis living in Pierrefonds would appreciate friendly visits and someone to talk to. He is a spiritual person who enjoys music, yoga, and meditation.
