Two vehicles set on fire at the entrance to Dollard-des-Ormeaux

Montreal police said two suspects were seen fleeing the scene just as the flames began.

A truck and a car were destroyed early Thursday after being attacked by arsonists. The vehicles were parked at the entrance to a private residence in Dollard-des-Ormeaux.

A call around 1 a.m. to the 911 emergency center alerted authorities to the fire outside a residence on Roger-Pilon St. near Mirabel St.

Montreal police said firefighters quickly put out the fires, which did not spread to the residence. They said both vehicles were a total loss.

Investigators said two suspects were seen fleeing the scene just as the flames began.

The remains of the vehicles were towed away for further analysis.
