Two open ice fishing spots in Grand River Parks

GUELPH-

After a period of sub-zero temperatures, the Grand River Conservation Authority announced that two ice fishing locations have opened to the public.

Ice fishing is open on both Lake Guelph in Guelph and Lake Belwood in Wellington County.

The conservation authority adds that ice fishing is not open at either Pinehurst Lake or Shade’s Mills, as conditions are not yet safe enough to venture out onto the ice.

The Grand River Conservation Authority says Guelph Lake is open for day use from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Belwood Lake is open for day use from sunrise to sunset.

More information on park hours and activities can be found at the Grand River Conservation Authority website.
