Two men were taken to the hospital, one seriously injured, following a shooting on the eastern edge of Toronto on Monday night, authorities said.
Toronto police said the scene is in the area of Warden Avenue and Firvalley Court, north of Danforth Road.
Police said a man who had been shot in the abdomen was taken to a trauma center.
A second man who had been shot in the chest was found unconscious and not breathing.

Police said he was being treated at the scene before being taken to a trauma center.
A spokesperson for Toronto paramedics told Global News that the injured were found in two separate locations and one was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while the other had life-threatening injuries.
Officers recovered two firearms and ammunition, police said.
