Twitter cancels the account of an ultra US congresswoman for misinforming about the covid

The social network Twitter announced this Sunday the permanent suspension from the personal account of the Republican congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene for spreading repeatedly false information about the pandemic of covid-19. Greene is a Republican representative in the House of Representatives for Georgia and one of the most controversial figures in the US Congress.

“We have permanently suspended the account for repeated violations of our covid-19 disinformation policy,” the company noted. Twitter has not specified what content has been disseminated by Taylor Greene that had caused the definitive cancellation of the account. But, despite the deletion of his personal account, Taylor Greene can write from another official, reserved by the company for members of the US Congress.

In August, the legislator had been warned with a temporary suspension of seven days after she published a message in which she assured that vaccines are “failing” and they “do not reduce the spread of the virus”.
