Three men in their 20s are expected to appear in court in Longueuil on Wednesday in connection with an attempted homicide a day earlier in the South Shore municipality of Brossard. Longueuil police said the trio were taken into custody after shots were fired at a car parked on Rome Blvd. near Highway 132 at about 3:55 pm Tuesday.
The vehicle’s occupant, a 23-year-old man, suffered wounds that left him in critical condition.
The three suspects were arrested in Candiac soon after the shooting, questioned by investigators and are expected to face charges of attempted murder and conspiracy.
Police said two firearms were seized during their investigation.
