With the win, the Union is no longer MLS’ only undefeated side. Midfielder Alejandro Pozuelo, defender Chris Mavinga (bench) and coach Bob Bradley were named to the Team of the Week from TFC.
Pozuelo scored the winning goal in sensational style to seal the win for Toronto on Saturday. Fellow Spaniard Jesus Jimenez also scored for the home side. With the victory, TFC moved to four games unbeaten.
For Mavinga, it was the veteran center back’s first game for Toronto since the season opener on Feb.26 in Dallas and he responded with a solid two-way game. The win also represented Bradley’s 200 victory in MLS as a head coach.
