Toronto police are investigating a shooting that injured two people near Thorncliffe Park on Saturday night.
Police say they responded to reports of hearing multiple shots and seeing someone lying on the ground just before 11 p.m. in Thorncliffe Park Drive and Overlea Boulevard.
Upon arrival, officers found two victims with gunshot wounds. One suffered fatal injuries and the other was seriously injured; Both were rushed to the hospital. Police also found several bullet casings.
Toronto police say a stretch of Thorncliffe Park Drive was closed after the incident. The police have advised people in the area to be cautious.
No information on the suspect has yet been provided, but the police are asking witnesses to come forward, they can be reached at 416-808-7400.
