They denounce several minors in Seville for inciting to beat a student for his sexual condition


The family of a transgender minor who studied in a school of Seville has filed a complaint against several students of the center after detecting messages in a WhatsApp group in which he was encouraged to be beaten for his sexual condition.

The family’s lawyer, Lorena Lozano, has confirmed to EFE that the minor had to drop out of school because of the scorn he suffered and that they later told him that in the WhatsApp group of his old class, some former classmates encouraged others to “Beating him up, putting him in a coma or smashing his face, among other things & rdquor ;.

The complaint, advanced by Diario de Sevilla, was filed on March 17 for an alleged crime of hate and discrimination based on gender and sexual orientation, after a meeting with the center’s management to try to solve the matter.

The complaint even states that a teacher refused to address the minor in the gender with which he identifies “until a judge told him & rdquor;.

The minor, who is now 13 years old, defined himself at the time as a bisexual transgender boy, and after meeting his classmates he suffered “public ridicule, threats and coercion by many students.”

The lawyer has filed a complaint with the court and the Prosecutor’s Office for alleged hate crimes and discrimination for reasons of gender and sexual identity against the students of the center who published the threats and encouraged him to be beaten, in addition to “all those responsible that may arise during the investigation & rdquor ;.
