These are the deadliest school shootings in the US


  • Adam Lamza killed 26 people, including 20 children, in December 2012 before committing suicide.

At least 21 people died this Tuesday, including 19 children, in addition to a teacher and the attacker, in a shooting at an elementary school in the town of Uvalde (Texas, USA). This shooting is one of the deadliest attacks on schools in the United States in recent years:

  • April 20, 1999.- Two students they kill 13 people and wound 23 at Columbine School in Littleton, Colorado, before commit suicide.

  • March 21, 2005.- A 17-year-old high school student kill 9 people prior to commit suicide at his school in Red Lake, on the Ojibwe Indian reservation.

  • April 16, 2007.- The student Seung Hui Cho kills 32 peopleamong students and faculty, at Virginia Polytechnic University, before commit suicide.

  • February 14, 2008.- seven people diedincluding the aggressor, and 15 were injured after a student opened fire in a Northern Illinois University lecture hall.

  • April 2, 2012.- Seven dead and three wounded in a shooting at the private university in Oikos, east of Oakland (California).

  • December 14, 2012.- Adam Lamza kills 26 people, including 20 childrenat an elementary school in Newtown, Connecticut before commit suicide. The day before there was killed his mother in his house.

  • October 1, 2015.- A shooting carried out by a young man identified as Chris Harper Mercer kill ten peopleincluding the aggressor, and causes injured nine others at a college in Oregon.

  • February 14, 2018.- A shooting recorded at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in the city of Parkland, in southeastern Florida, leaves 17 people dead. The alleged perpetrator is a 19-year-old boy, identified as Nikolas Cruz, who was a student at that educational center.

  • May 18, 2018.- A 17-year-old kill 10 people in a shooting at a Santa Fe high school in the state of Texas.

  • May 24, 2022.- An 18 year old kills at least 19 children and two adults in an elementary school in the town of Uvalde, in the state of Texas. The attacker also died.
