Not even a pandemic could prevent Santa from making an appearance before Christmas in Windsor this year.

Mr. and Mrs. Claus, reindeer and much more delighted the huge crowds Saturday along Wyandotte Street East, where fans enjoyed many floats as they waited for the main attraction as part of the 53rd annual Windsor Santa Parade Claus, presented by the Wyandotte Town Center BIA.
Last year, due to COVID-19, a drive-thru format was held at St. Clair College.
New this year, Windsor Parade Corporation introduced its Island of Misfit Toys float with some classic characters like Charlie in the Box. The float is dedicated to volunteer Clayton Massender, who died last year.
Amherstburg hosted Santa Claus last week, and St. Nick enthusiasts can catch the Essex BIA parade next week.
