The Ukrainian parish priest of Badalona goes to the front and asks for ambulances

the chaplain of the parish of Sant Pau de Badalona (Barcelona), the Ukrainian Iurii Stasiuk, who returned to his country at the beginning of the war to go to the front, has joined a team of doctors and is in a base waiting to receive orders, from where he has requested help to buy ambulances.

Stasiuk has sent a statement from Ukraine through Justicia i Pau de Catalunya in which he reports that he is “fine” and that he is meeting with the doctors at the base. “We form groups, we are ready to leave at any moment. We also wait for orders from the government because now there are many battles in many places in Ukraine,” he writes.

“The family is as well as possible. The sister is prepared to pick up the women and children whose parents are in battle. We have to live these times, I think we have to go through it with dignity,” adds the chaplain.

“Today I was in the supermarket to buy the necessary things and when I went through the checkout, people told me that they would pay for the purchase. It is a very emotional moment for me. In another place when I wanted to buy a coffee they gave me it for free”, Add.

“If someone knows where we can buy it, it will also help us. Sometimes there are hospitals or residences that do not use it for years or because of its technical condition, we can use it. We have people who are willing to take it to the border” , adds the chaplain who offers his mobile phone to receive transfers by bizum. “Also, above all, we need your prayers,” the Ukrainian priest from Badalona concludes his message.
