The Mossos dissolve 25 illegal parties on New Year’s Eve in Catalonia

A total of 2,465 incidents were related to the New Year’s Eve celebration. 35.4% of the calls (1,188) have been to notify of unfair actions; 21.6% (724 calls) were to request health care; 17% (571) for fights and threats; while 10.6% (355) were related to citizen security problems and 2.9% (97) to fires and rescues.

By province, 77.5% of the calls were made from Barcelona (2,601), followed by Tarragona (9.2% with 310 calls), Girona (8.6% with 289) and Lleida (4.6% with 155). By municipalities, the Catalan capital has concentrated 39.8% of calls (1,337). The time slot in which 112 has had the most work has been between 01.00 and 02.00 in the morning. In that period they have served 510 citizens.

During the night, there has been no fatal accident on the Catalan interurban road network and there is no record of any serious accident.
