The hearing of El Bronco and other former officials begins with a delay due to the requisition of Ecovía


Monterey, NL. This Friday, April 8, the hearing began in which they were summoned, the former governor of Nuevo León, Jaime Heliodoro Rodriguez Calderon, as well as former officials Jorge Alfredo Longoria Treviño, former director of the State Transportation Agency; Roberto Russildi Montellano, former Secretary of Sustainable Development and Manuel Benjamín Fernández, former head of Metrorrey, for the alleged crime of abuse of authority for the requisition of the Ecovía.

It transpired that the Criminal Oral Control Judge, Juan Roberto Ortíz Pintor, began the hearing almost an hour late, while the former governor’s defense indicated that the hearing is virtual and private.

The hearing is being held at the request of the Specialized Prosecutor for Combating Corruption, dated March 16, where the former officials may be linked to the process or dismiss the accusation for alleged abuse of authority.

On the other hand, the former governor will remain in prison and next Tuesday the 12th a hearing will be held before a Federal Judge, for the alleged crime of using public resources to obtain signatures and be a candidate for the presidency of the Republic.
