The death toll from Covid-19 in Mexico amounts to 292,850

The number of deaths due to Covid-19 in Mexico amounted to 292,850, after the Ministry of Health notified 326 new deaths registered in the last 24 hours.

According to the daily technical report on the progress of the pandemic of new coronavirus, were confirmed 3,698 new infections, to reach a cumulative number of 3 million 867,976 infections since this disease arrived in the country.

Federal authorities estimate around 19,018 active cases, that is, people who have presented Covid-19 symptoms in the last 14 days.

The agency detailed that 3 million 229,463 people have recovered after suffering the disease caused by coronavirus SARS-CoV-2.

The federal government highlighted that hospitalization of patients with Covid-19 has decreased 89% compared to the highest point recorded in January, during the second wave of infections that Mexico faced last winter season.

The technical report details that for the second consecutive day, the occupancy of general beds stands at 17%, while beds with a fan register an occupancy of 13 percent.

Vaccination against Covid-19 advances in Mexico

The Ministry of Health detailed that at the cutoff on Monday, November 22, 116,552 vaccines were applied nationwide, to reach 131 million 191,713 doses supplied since the vaccination campaign against this disease began on December 24, 2020.

In Mexico, 75 million 955,466 people have been vaccinated against this disease, of which 64 million 391,367 have a complete scheme, which is equivalent to 85 percent; while 11 million 564,099 await the application of the second dose.
