The Citizen Movement wants the 1,500 million pesos for the mandate revocation consultation to be used for Covid vaccines

The bench of Citizen movement In the Chamber of Deputies, he presented an initiative so that if the mandate revocation process is not carried out, at least 1,500 million pesos destined to the INE for said exercise are implemented in the purchase of vaccines against Covid-9, mainly for girls, boys and adolescents.

When presenting the initiative, Deputy Salomón Chertorivski considered that at this time, where there are such pressing, urgent needs, such as attending to the health of Mexicans, a more austere revocation of the mandate should be carried out.

Thus, proposed to reduce 1,500 million pesos to the INE budget, with the purpose of allocating these resources to the purchase of vaccines for the half of the population that still does not receive their complete vaccination schedule, mainly girls, boys and adolescents.

“This, by making the process of revocation of the mandate that we have in the making less onerous, more austere,” he explained.

The deputy clarified that this measure is not to affect the Institute, but to make better use of resources in the face of the emergency that the pandemic still represents, and since it is not definitive that the exercise of revocation of the mandate will be carried out next year, “and what is certain is that if the requirements are met so that it can be carried out, it can be done cheaper.

“The proposal of the orange bench goes in the sense that it is stipulated that if there is a sub-exercise of the 3,830 million pesos that they are requesting for the exercise of revocation of the mandate, those resources, if they are not carried out, are immediately transferred to the IMSS, the ISSSTE, the Federal SSA and the health secretariats of the states ”, he explained.

While in the event that the requirements for the exercise of the revocation of the mandate to be carried out, MC also proposes that the INE have the resources to carry out the exercise, but that at the same time it “tightens the belt ”, through a 40% cut in resources and can be transferred to health institutions in our country.
