Indie director to discover
The Americana Film Fest and the Filmoteca present these days Tim Sutton’s worka director little known around here, but with films as attractive as ‘Pavilion’, ‘Donnybrook’ or ‘Funny face’, attempts to capture the convulsive reality of presumably second-rate Americans.
Cinema with (and about) the brain
Until Sunday, March 20, there is time left to enjoy at the CCCB the Brain Film Fest, the international film festival dedicated to the brain. There will be premiere documentaries (‘The disruptors’, ‘I am human’), notable titles (‘Un amor intranquilo’ or ‘Three’in the photo), round tables and workshops.

One of the most special concerts of the MUD (or Festival Músiques Disperses) will be the first to be marked Clara Vinals (photo), by Renaldo & Clara, with one of their favorite artists: veteran Julia Bustamante. Friday, the 18th, at the Cafè del Teatre de Lleida. also acts Prato Green.

And for those who cannot see Verde Prato that Friday (or want to repeat), there is another opportunity on Sunday, the 20th, at the Espai Club de Barts. An appropriately intimate setting for the sober and intimate solo project by Ana Ursuaga (Dungeon), a renewal of the essence of Basque folklore.

Rex Orange County just can’t find hits
In the just published ‘Who cares?’the British Alexander James O’Connor, alias Rex Orange County, runs as an apparent candidate for Generation Z Nilsson, but in this case the comparisons are particularly hateful. Better lyrics and melodies that reach the optimal level of stickiness are missing.
