This Wednesday, November 3, the First Festival of Fantastic Genres of Barcelona in the enclosure of Fabra and Coats. Until Sunday the 7th, 200 participants in 75 activities of all kinds will pass through there. With the presence of both authors who come with their news under their arms and experts who will debate the issues that are on the table in the current production of non-realistic genres, from science fiction to fantasy: post-humanism and robots, feminism, terror, video games and the city of the future.
“We are not interested in addressing here only the fans of the genre, we want the festival to embrace both the most freakish and the most erudite aspects and that is why to begin with we need to break down prejudices,” says the festival’s curator, Ricard Ruiz Garzón. For test at what point of freak or erudition you are, we propose this challenge in 20 questions. Will you stay at a 1/20 zombie level, or will you achieve a 20/20 worthy of an academic at Invisible University of Ankh-Morpork?
