By accepting the position at Star AcademyGuylaine Tremblay has made it her mission to convince Academicians to add a dose of interpretation to their vocal talent in order to make them better singers and better artists.

For her, the goal is achieved. “Each of them now knows that if they feel what they’re saying, embody the words they sing and if they’re connected to the emotion of the song, it’s bound to resonate more with the people who listen to them, she insists in an interview with QMI. The difference between a good and a very good singer is his ability to interpret, to deliver emotion to us.

She is even very proud to see that some, like Sarah-Maude for example, have discovered a pleasure and a curiosity in acting. is an option.”

If she lived this season in the greatest happiness, she nevertheless found the Sunday evenings difficult, when it was necessary to let go of a candidate. “My heart was bleeding every time, but that’s the premise of the show.”

She also recognizes that the choices of the teaching staff, as much for the endangerments as to save a candidate at the end of the Varieties, is not necessarily an easy process.

“Our choice is often based on work. Who is the Academician who has made the most progress, who has understood the instructions and who has managed to apply them… There are some difficult decisions that are often made during the evening. We also attend rehearsals during the day, we see what is taking shape, but we can have surprises live. There are performances that take on another dimension in the presence of the public.”

Jeremy, for example, was often in danger, but he applied the instructions. He understood what was being asked of him. He even stayed at the Academy longer than he might have imagined thanks to his work.

Throughout the last three months, Guylaine Tremblay has also been concerned about the happiness of Academicians. Star Academy is a great experience, but very difficult. For them, it’s three months of intense life, all alone, in another environment with a whirlwind of learning. It stirs a lot both internally and emotionally. I wanted to make sure they were all okay.”

Camellia

“She’s a very mature girl, who has solid foundations and really knows what she wants. She has matured a lot, she is autonomous and independent. And what a timbre of voice!”

Krystel

“She is very touching. At first she said she wanted to find out who she was as an artist, and I think she found herself. She’s a great singer with a heart.”

Olivier

“Olivier has a heart as big as the earth. No matter the outcome, Star Academy will have completely transformed it. He realized that he had the right to be happy doing what he loves for a living. Its greatest quality is its truth and authenticity.”

Eloi

“It’s a charm on two legs. He has a candor and purity linked to his age, but also to his nature. He’s basically a good person who wants to make people happy.”
