On November 4 at approximately 3 pm, a Collins Bay Institution staff member was assaulted.
The injured staff member was treated and later taken to hospital.

The assailant has been identified and the Ontario Provincial Police Prison Squad is currently investigating.
The Correctional Service of Canada will also investigate the circumstances of the incident and will continue to work alongside the police.
