Scarborough resident charged with making threats in Leamington

Just after midnight Saturday, officers from the Leamington OPP detachment responded to a business on Erie Street South for reports of threats.

Following an investigation, Garfield Anthon Stamp, 49, of Scarborough, was arrested and charged with two counts of using an imitation firearm while committing a crime and two counts of making threats to cause death or bodily harm.

The defendant was detained pending a bail hearing.
