Belleville police are asking parents to search their children’s Halloween candy after receiving reports of possible drugs found in children’s loot.

Two parents reported finding what police called tablets unsuitable for children to swallow mixed with their children’s candy on Sunday.

Police believe the tablets were delivered somewhere in the Gilbert and Maple streets area of ​​Belleville.

Residents are advised to dispose of the tablets if they find them.
