RCMP investigating theft of model plans worth more than $50,000

Mounties are investigating the theft of six large model airplanes valued at more than $50,000.

On June 17, RCMP officers responded to a report that an enclosed utility trailer was stolen from a parking lot on Woodsmere Close in Fort Saskatchewan.

Police located the stolen trailer, however, the six model airplanes were missing. The planes are different colors and patterns — red, blue with a white star, orange and white, yellow and red with checkers, green and black, and green with a star.

RCMP are asking for the public’s help in recovering the plans.
