RCMP are investigating human remains discovered in Grande Prairie.

Shortly after 8 pm on Thursday, Mounties received report of human remains found in the snow near 102 Street and 92 Avenue, RCMP said in a Friday news release.
RCMP don’t yet know the cause of death, but investigators don’t believe there is any risk to public safety, Mounties added.
While the investigation continues, RCMP will be at the site of the discovery over the weekend and ask the public to avoid the area.
Mounties ask anyone with information relating to the incident to call Grande Prairie RCMP at 780-830-5701.
