Raptors vs. Heat, Kyle Lowry’s return to Toronto, advanced to February 1

The most anticipated Raptors game of the season is coming sooner than expected.

Kyle Lowry and the Miami Heat’s first visit, originally scheduled for the Scotiabank Arena on February 3, will be moved forward to February 1 as the NBA struggles to reschedule other postponed games, the league announced Monday.

Toronto was originally scheduled to play in Atlanta on February 1 and would host Lowry two days later. The game against the Hawks was moved to January 31, and a previously postponed game between the Heat and the Spurs was moved to February 3 in San Antonio.

Other Raptors schedule changes:

  • In Chicago: It was December 22, now January 26
  • In Atlanta: It was February 1, now January 31
  • Vs. Chicago: It was December 16, now February 3
  • In Brooklyn: It was January 26, now February 28
  • Vs. Orlando: It was December 20, now March 4

It remains to be seen if fans will be allowed in Lowry’s game. The province set a 1,000-person cap on Scotiabank Arena events just before the new year, reserved primarily for staff, friends and family under league rules, and said it would re-examine the issue in January.
