Querétaro, Qro. The 2021 edition of The good end it entails forecasts of recovery in local commerce, as well as changes in consumption habits and challenges derived from the global logistics crisis.
The projection of local commerce for the El Buen Fin period (from November 10 to 16) is to achieve an economic income of 850 million pesos, 17% less than in 2019 and 90% more in relation to 2020. For This edition expects the participation of at least 15,000 establishments of various commercial and service lines.

“We are 17% less than in 2019, that is, it is the result of advancing since February in an exercise of economic recovery and that today puts us almost at similar figures to the pre-pandemic year, still a little below, therefore the importance of continue to seek the necessary measures. And we are 90% more than last year, which was a year with a significant economic depression ”, he mentioned.
The effects of the pandemic will be reflected in this edition of El Buen Fin, since it is estimated that 35% of sales are made through digital channels; In addition, it is projected that 50% of sales will materialize through an electronic payment (debit or credit card).
The 2021 edition of El Buen Fin is also characterized by emphasizing promoting electronic commerce, as well as encouraging the internal market. Televisions, computer equipment, as well as restaurant and travel services are among the products in greatest demand.
Faced with the container crisis, which restricts the flow of Asian imports, the chamber leader acknowledged that there could be delays in products of Chinese origin.
“In the national case, the Port of Manzanillo is operating at a significant rate of work, it is generating delays twice the time in delivery, but it is not experiencing crisis supply rates for any type of item. What will happen is that in some cases – of products that come from China – there will be delays of more than half the time that was had, but it does not imply that the consumption of imported products cannot be encouraged ”, he mentioned.
The president of the Alliance for the Historic Center, Antonio Torres Rico, added that the Good End is also an opportunity to promote the recovery of sales among the establishments located in the first square of the city.
Complaints
About 80% of the complaints received by the Federal Prosecutor’s Office for the Consumer (Profeco) for the Good End are related to not respecting the promotions, said the regional representative of the organization, Juan Rodríguez Valle.
If a conciliation is not reached in this type of complaint, the attorney general’s office continues with a process that can lead to penalties of up to 3.7 million pesos.

In parallel, the State Secretariat of Tourism registered an influx of 16,000 tourists staying in hotels and a spill of 80 million pesos. The state capital had an occupancy of 45 to 50%, meanwhile other mountain and semi-desert destinations reached between 70 and 75% occupancy.
