The 45-year-old from Montreal who represents the West Island equestrian will be the one who questions the Minister of Health, Christian Dubé, in the National Assembly, after having been critical of the opposition on the economy.

Derraji has a master’s degree in pharmaceutical administration and recently completed a doctorate in public health. He worked at CHSLD during the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The reorganization of the shadow cabinet became necessary after the expulsion of Marie Montpetit in November. She had been the health critic, but was removed from her post after a public exchange on Twitter with fellow liberal MNA Gaétan Barrette. She was later removed from the caucus on an accusation of psychological harassment.
