The service, in which volunteers drive people and their cars home after the Christmas holidays they’ve been drinking at, will be offered again from November 26 to December 31.

Special measures have been established in collaboration with public health. Volunteers will present vaccine passports, masks will be required in vehicles for volunteers and clients, and hands and surfaces will be washed frequently, said general manager Anne-Marie Audet.

Donations received from clients will be given to organizations dedicated to youth and amateur sports. In many regions, these donations can be made online.

The Société de l’assurance Automobile du Québec also invites people who are tired to use the service, even if they have not used alcohol or drugs.
