Nuevo León franchises play an important role in the economic recovery: ILAF

Monterrey, NL. The state of New Lion It is the second most important entity as a business generator under the franchise model, due to its high level of entrepreneurship, economic strength and its integration with the United States, and it plays an important role in economic recovery, said Jorge Valencia López, president of the Latin American Franchise Institute (ILAF).

State franchises represent 10% of more than 1,000 franchises nationwide and are a solid opportunity for those companies that could grow as franchises and for those interested in investing in this business model of proven success, highlighted Valencia López in press conference, presenting Expo Franchise-T 2021, which will take place on November 26 and 27, at Cintermex.

Industry specialists indicate that only between 20 and 30% of the micro, small and medium enterprises, survive after three years; On the other hand, between 85% and 90% of the businesses under the franchise model continue to operate after five years of activity.

The franchise sector represents 6% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) national, and generates around 800,000 direct jobs in the country.

The top five geographic areas for franchises are: Metropolitan Area of ​​Mexico City, Jalisco, New Lion, Puebla and Queretaro.

Valencia López affirmed that “the pandemic made people with a certain amount of money to invest, turn to see the franchises, instead of looking for other financial alternatives such as metals, the Mexican stock exchange the dollars”.

The Expo Franchise-T 2021 It will be carried out in a hybrid way, more than 100 brands of different national and international commercial and service lines will be present: food and beverages, automotive sector, commerce, specialized services, personal care, education, training, coaching, entertainment, technology and communications, tourism and housing. A capacity of more than 6,000 visitors is expected.
