Nuevo León captures 8,169 million pesos, in total income in January

Monterey, NL. The total income of the government of Nuevo Leon during January they amounted to 8,169 million pesos, which represented a 29% rise compared to the same month last year, and an increase of 16% against what was projected in the 2022 Budget, reported the Secretary of Finance and Treasury state general.

This will allow for sufficient resources to pay for priority projects such as the Intermountain Highway, the Comprehensive Metropolitan Transit System (Sintram), the preliminary engineering studies for the construction of the Elevated Electric Train Mederos-Santa Catarina, on lines 4 and 5 of the Metro, as well as universal coverage for children and women with cancer, among others.

Own income, made up of the state tax collection and the collection of rightstotaled 2,955 million pesos, an amount that exceeded what was collected in January 2021, as well as what was projected in the budget by 12 percent.

The dependency announced that the Payroll Tax (ISN) was the highest revenue collected in January, with 1,394 million pesos, 11% more than budgeted and 21% above what was collected in January of last year.

The holdings that the Federal government transferred to Nuevo León, totaled 4,245 million pesos, that is, they showed a growth of 44%, compared to the same month last year, and 23% more than projected in the budget.

It is worth mentioning that the increase in population in the entity favored the increase in federal contributions.

The state government expressed its appreciation to taxpayers for complying with their fiscal obligations and reiterated that these resources will be applied, with total transparency, in the attention of the priorities reflected in the budget.
