Nova Scotia to Provide COVID-19 Update After 5 Days of Record Cases – Halifax | The Canadian News

Prime Minister Tim Houston and Dr. Robert Strang, Nova Scotia’s Chief Medical Officer, will provide an update on COVID-19 on Tuesday.

The update is scheduled to begin at 2pm and will be streamed live on this page.

Nova Scotia reported 485 new COVID-19 cases the previous day, which was the fifth consecutive day of record cases.

More than 300 of Monday’s new cases are in the central region of the province, which includes Halifax.

Health officials also reported an outbreak of the disease at Parkstone Enhanced Care, a long-term care facility in Halifax, where a resident and staff member tested positive for the disease.
