Edmonton police are investigating a collision that left a 44-year-old motorcyclist dead on Thursday.

At around 4:45 p.m., a 2013 Dodge Journey was traveling south on 97th Street when the driver attempted to make a left turn near 137th Avenue and was struck by a 2012 Harley-Davidson motorcycle traveling in the lane to the north, which caused the truck to roll. upon.

Despite the efforts of paramedics, the motorcyclist died from his injuries at the scene. The driver of the van, a 78-year-old driver, was unharmed.

Police are still investigating and no charges had been filed as of Thursday night.
