Mexico registers 3,353 new cases of Covid-19 and 242 deaths

The Health Secretary (Ssa) updated this Friday to 3 million 841,661 the number of total cases of Covid-19 confirmed in Mexico so far in the pandemic. Regarding the official death toll, the agency reported 290,872.

Compared with the figures reported by the agency yesterday, the update meant that 3,353 new infections and 242 new deaths were registered as of today.

Of the confirmed cases, the agency mentioned that 21,562 are active (presenting the first symptoms in the most recent 14 days and are still contagious). The estimate of active cases by the authorities is 22,874.

In the country, the incidence rate of active cases is 16.7 per 100.00 inhabitants. The entities with the highest rates are Baja California, Sonora, Coahuila, Guanajuato, Mexico City, Querétaro, and Chihuahua.
