Visitors Are Urged To Plan Ahead, Utilizing Transit For The Regina Fairgrounds ‘Busy’ Weekend – Regina | The Canadian News

To say that it will be a busy Saturday on the Regina Exposition campus is an understatement.

There are several events scheduled that will affect accessibility and parking.

To get started, there’s the Roughriders game at 3pm, which brings in your usual game-day parking procedures.

There’s also the Regina Pats game at 6pm, as well as an all-day 32-team hockey tournament at the Co-operator Center.

On top of that, there will be a craft fair in the Agribition building and programming at AffinityPlex.

Parking is assigned on a first-come, first-served basis, unless you have prepaid Rider parking on game day or have Regina Pats VIP parking. There will be a designated parking area for each event.

Mark Rathwell, Communications Manager for Regina Exhibition Association Limited (REAL) wants the public to be prepared.

“It is going to be a very busy day. We just want people to know that, so they can plan their trips accordingly, depending on where they go. “

Rathwell predicts that around 50,000 people could visit the grounds on Saturday.

With approximately 3,000 parking spots on site, it encourages visitors to use public transportation.
