Medical personnel from Oaxaca retain workers at the Insabi facilities in CDMX

Since one afternoon on Tuesday, the director of the Institute of Health for Wellbeing (Insabi), Juan Antonio Ferrer was held in the facilities of this organization, after medical personnel, who attended the emergency of Covid-19 in Oaxaca, will manifest and take the headquarters.

Sources close to the institution revealed to El Economista that the doctors and nurses stopped the exit of around 350 people who were in the facilities, including the owner of the Insabi as well as some directors, workers and suppliers of the organization.

The source confirmed that before 8 p.m., the medical staff accepted the departure of approximately 50 people from the headquarters “who are practically vulnerable, elderly, diabetics, they had to prove it, pregnant women.”

Almost an hour later, it was confirmed that all the people who were in the Institute held by about a hundred of doctors, nurses and nutritionists of that state that denounced unjustified dismissals.

For this reason, they demanded, from the early hours of this day, a dialogue table with officials from Insabi, as well as from the Mexican Institute of Social Security and the Institute of Social Security and Services for State Workers (ISSSTE).

“Teacher Juan Ferrer tells me that the negotiations are at a level between the Ministry of the Interior and Governor Murat,” confirmed the source.
