Mario Delgado calls for unity towards the 2024 elections

The party’s presidential candidates National Regeneration Movement (Morena) they can promote themselves from now on towards 2024 in an open and transparent manner, which does not imply committing anticipated pre-campaign acts, but without dividing the militancy because there is a guarantee of impartiality to select, by poll, the candidate who will contend in the 2024 elections, he claimed Mario Slim.

“We are only asking our corcholates and corcholates for one thing, that we not divide; that we maintain the commitment of unity; that among all of us we are very aware that we are living a historical process…”

The national president of Brunette He said that only “the political persecution of the electoral authorities,” which his party will not allow, would prevent the morenista presidential candidates from being promoted.

“And we have reviewed the law very well, we are not committing an anticipated campaign act. Imagine, well, we are in 2022. Then, we would have to review the life story of each one of our candidates, to see if he made any statement in the primary or that he wanted to be president (to declare it) an early campaign act”, he mocked.

From his point of view, “we are still far from electoral times and we have to learn, now, to live in this open, transparent democracy, without hypocrisy.”

It should be remembered that the National Electoral Institute (INE) already analyzes a complaint filed by the national leadership of the PAN and PRD against Claudia Sheinbaum, Marcelo Ebrard and Adán Augusto López, head of the Government of Mexico City and secretaries of Foreign Affairs and the Interior, respectively, for anticipated pre-campaign and campaign events, among others, the one they led together in Toluca, State of Mexico, last day 12, where they considered the internal presidential contest to have begun.

Delgado announced that next Sunday the national leadership of Brunette will hold an event similar to the one in the State of Mexico, in Torreón, Coahuila -in both there will be governor elections in 2023-, to which “all” Morena’s presidential candidates are invited.

“(A) Those who think they are invincible, who think they own Coahuila, we are going to defeat them. Therefore, we are going to start the organization, as we did in Toluca. I have already made a call to all our distinguished militants to do grassroots work, to all the candidates, all are invited because then they say that I invite some and not others,” he said without mentioning Ricardo Monreal Ávila, coordinator of the parliamentary group of Morena in the Senate and a morenista presidential candidate, who reported after the event that he did not go to Toluca because Delgado did not invite him.

Finally, Delgado reported that next July 1 – “so that the electoral authorities do not come as a surprise” – when it will be four years since the victory of President Andrés Manuel Lopez ObradorMorena will initiate informative assemblies throughout the country on the constitutional reform in electoral matters that the federal Executive presented to the Chamber of Deputies and that the opposition of the PRI, PAN and PRD has already announced that it will not approve.
