Manitoba Conservative Leadership Voting Judicial Challenge Scheduled for End of December – Winnipeg | The Canadian News

A Manitoba judge agreed to hear a judicial challenge to the vote that made Heather Stefanson the leader of the provincial Progressive Conservatives and, with that, prime minister.

Queen’s Bench Court Judge James Edmond has ruled that the court has jurisdiction to hear the matter and has set a date for December 23.

In an affidavit, he has said that the total number of votes counted was 501 more than the total his team had been told hours earlier.
