Judge Ronald Wigler told the defendant Jeremy Arrington, 31, that he had committed “perhaps the most horrific, heinous, cruel, and depraved murders this county has ever seen,” according to foxnews.

Authorities said Arrington became upset over a Facebook alert by police that one of the victims had reposted which named him as a shooting and sex assault suspect.

Prosecutors said Arrington terrorized a family, their relatives and a visiting friend in a home, tying them up and torturing them with kitchen knives.

He stabbed and killed Aerial Little Whitehurst, 8, and Al-Jahon Whitehurst, 11, then shot and killed Syasia McBurroughs, 23.

Wounded were the murdered children’s mother, 29, and her brother and sister, both 13.

Arrington, who was convicted of three counts of murder and attempted murder as well as burglary, criminal restraint and weapons charges, didn’t take the stand.

But he apologized to the family at his sentencing, describing his behavior as “craziness and uncalled for,” adding he’d swap places with the victims if he could.
